Down Syndrome
This is a genetic condition caused by an extra copy of chromosome 21, leading to developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and distinct physical features such as a flattened facial profile, almond- shaped eyes, and a single crease across the palm. Individuals with Down Syndrome may take longer to reach milestones such as walking, talking, and learning. However, with early intervention such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and specialized education, they can develop essential skills.
